Mine used to hurt soooo bad, but now they are fine. All you can do for awkward pose is tough it out, and eventually it can get better!! If possible, make sure you are spreading your toes a little bit and leaving space between your big and second toe when your feet are flat on the floor, and especially when you're setting up for part 2 of awkward.
