The funny thing is that it works. We can sometimes fool ourselves into doing the things we know we should be doing anyways.

The Texas Asana Championship is in Houston this year, and I'm looking forward to it for exactly the reason you say.Duffy Pratthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05160837024667969180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5633767611605153908.post-89039454816977333182009-04-19T21:59:00.000-05:002009-04-19T21:59:00.000-05:00Oh GOD yes. There's the honeymoon, and then there's maintenance, and we both know which one is harder! And that never ends...

For me, I have to say that it REALLY helps to set up little goals or landmarks along the way, even if they're a bit artificial. Doing the championships is great for me, because for a couple months every year I know I'm gonna get an extra little push. That's why I like going to posture clinics or taking class with Bikram, and I think it's also why a LOT of teacher go to visit the teacher trainings - it just injects a little extra OOMPH into your practice that can get lost when you fall into routine.thedancingjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08976806717306797444noreply@blogger.com
